Michael Lynche has made it to Hollywood on American Idol
Feb 4th

'Big Mike' Lynche
20dot20 sponsor Habitat Music/Hood Famous Music’s longtime collaborator Michael Lynche made it to Hollywood on American Idol last night. Habitat composer/producer Aaron Albano (a.k.a. Ming) helped “Big Mike” craft his unique blend of high-energy music called the “Dirty Blues”–where gritty southern soul meets dirty south hip-hop. The sound can best be described as a cross between Gnarls Barkley, Outkast and R. Kelly. We’ll be anxiously watching Idol along with the rest of America as the competition unfolds!
Check out some of his past work with Habitat writer/producer, Ming. Track 4 “Pimp Beat” also features a keyboard riff from yours truly, Habitat’s Harold Stephan.

20dot20 social is back! Next event on Thursday, January 28th
Jan 21st
See that big banner over on the right? Yep, that’s the new announcement for the next installment of our soon to be legendary 20dot20 Music, Media and Tech mixer. I know we’re a bit behind the 8-ball announcing this last minute and the invite’s already gone out, but better late than never.
We’re keeping it to the last Thursday of every month. The date is January 28th and the time is 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You may not catch American Idol, but you’ll certainly be one at 20dot20. (Yeah, that was cheesy…we know).
Where is it, you ask? Well…we can’t actually post it here. The venue has asked us to keep their location hush hush. You have to actually REGISTER for the event to find out the location. Just click to register and you’ll receive an email with the location details.
It’s a suprise and one of the coolest spaces in New York City. We know you won’t be disappointed. What we can confirm is that we are keeping the event in a private space and not a bar/lounge. Per the usual theme, it’s in a non-threatening recording studio environment. Who likes to talk over all that music and fight for the bartenders attention, when all day we listen to loud music and don’t feel like bumping heads with rookies at the bar? Not us…that’s for sure!
We hope to see you at 20dot20! Bring business cards and feel free to bring some product samples. Our friends love free stuff!
Another great 20dot20 Social concluded!

What a great time! Thanks to everyone for coming out to the latest installment of 20dot20. And, thanks to the partners at StudioIMC at 95 Morton for hosting us and co-sponsoring the event. It’s late and we’re posting the pics already. No rest for the weary. We can’t wait til next month. This event is really attracting some stellar folks who are contributing to the great after work vibe. Thanks to Fire Island Brewery for the great tasting Lighthouse Ale and Sophisticated Palette for the wonderful cupcakes. If you didn’t taste the cupcakes, they were DELICIOUS! Check out the photos below. We’re going to push for a thank you list to be posted shortly…hope we can make that happen on Friday, but it’s back to the grind. Stay tuned to 20dot20.com (here) or our Twitter.com/20dot20 or Facebook for news on the next 20dot20 Social. Until next time, peace from Aaron Albano (DJ Ming), Harold Stephan, and DJ Chad North (Habitat Music) and Tony Zeoli (Netmix Media).
